Snack trends webinar: tomorrow is the big day

Our sustainable snacking webinar takes place tomorrow at 3pm: there's still time to book your free place

There's still time to register for the Food Manufacture Group’s free, one-hour webinar – Sustainable snacking trends for 2017 – which takes place tomorrow (Thursday, June 15) at 3pm, London time.

The webinar, sponsored by the Almond Board of California (ABC), will offer delegates with the latest information about new trends influencing the global and European snacks industry, together with insights into sustainable almond production.

Keynote speaker Lu Ann Williams, director of innovation at Innova Market Insights, will identify the latest global trends driving worldwide sales.

Sebastian Emig, director general of the European Snacks Association (ESA), will chart the growth of the Eropean snacks sector – which achieved retail sales valued at about €14bn in 2014. The ESA president will also explain consumers’ growth interest in susainable and ethical sourcing and the sector’s progress towards healthy reformulation of snacking products.

Danielle Veenstra, senior sustainability specialist with the Almond Board of California, will reveal how almond farmers are implementing sustainable production practices; particularly with regard to the efficient use of water.

Veenstra will reveal how almond farmers are engaging with manufacturers and consumers to explain the progress made on sustainable production.
