Symingtons, Mars and Tate & Lyle all made appointments in the apst month

There have been a number of high profile appointments over the past month in the food and drink industry.

Convenience food manufacturer Symingtons hired a new chief commercial, while John Griffin was made general manager of Branston’s Lincolnshire factory.

This month also saw Discount retailer Poundland appoint a new executive chairman.

Other organisations featured in this photogallery include: Irish food board Bord Bia, Dolmio brand- owner Mars Food and Tate & Lyle.

Meanwhile, possibly the biggest appointment in the past month has been business mogul and former reality television star Donald Trump, who beat rival Hillary Clinton in the US presidential election.

The shock result has led critics to question how his presidency will impact world trade and economic growth.
