Food and rink manufacturers have been recognised at this year's Queen's Awards for Enterprise

Food and drink manufacturers have been recognised in this year’s Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, featured here in our photogallery of the winners.

Tea maker Bettys & Taylors Group, Suma Wholefoods and Union Hand Roasted Coffee received recognition.

Also featured in this gallery are Oakland International, which won two awards for International trade and Sustainable development.

Commenting on the awards, business secretary Greg Clark said: “The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise highlights everything that’s great about UK business today.

‘Wealth of businesses being recognised’

“I’m extremely proud to see such a wealth of businesses being recognised today [April 21]. Through our Industrial Strategy we will be building on the successes of these award winning businesses, helping to build a stronger, more outward looking and prosperous global Britain.”

The awards, established in 1965, are the highest official recognition for British businesses and are given to firms that excel within areas such as international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

Last year’s food and drink industry winners included milk-free chocolate manufacturer Moo Free, Apetito and dessert ingredients firm Orchard valley Foods.
