Anuga FoodTec preview
Rotating drum concept for high-capacity poultry forming
The future of food processing with innovative processing and packaging machines and integrated technologies will be the focus of GEA’s stand.
Items on display will include the MaxiFormer, a rotating drum concept for meat forming; the CombiPlus, a new approach to making pasta filata cheese; the S-Tech spiral freezer; and the Hilge Hygia H, a high-pressure pump for use in dairies.
The MaxiFormer is targeted at high-capacity formed poultry, pork or meat replacement products.
Its low-pressure meat filling approach is said to produce a more consistent, higher quality formed product, with greater filling accuracy and less product waste by reduced leakage.
Furthermore, it is claimed to provide efficient use of a compressed air pulse for knock-out, without using water, which ensures cleaner and quieter forming and lowers operating costs.
Meanwhile, the S-Tec spiral freezer and chiller is said to provide good hygiene, thanks to its fully-welded food zone structure. It can handle up to 7t/h of product, on a single-shift for up to 14 days without defrosting.
