2 Sisters losses increase
Disastrous annual losses of £16M revealed for 2 Sisters Food Group (2SFG) in its 2013 results, filed with Companies House in April 2014, was our second most popular article.
The results covering the 52 weeks to July 27 2013 marked a considerable worsening compared with pre-tax losses of £1.8M in the previous year.
There was good news for the poultry processor, as it boosted annual sales from £778M to £855M.
2SFG said it has put a number of initiatives in place to remedy failing profitability.
“As we enter the new financial year, the increase in feed ingredient prices remains a challenge to the business, as it is for many other food manufacturers. The company is working with customers to recover feed inflation and drive volume and invest in capacity and efficiency,” it said in a statement at the time.
