Fish in cupcakes forces Morrisons recall
Morrisons has recalled batches of its Market Street cupcakes, after a number of ingredients – including fish – were not declared on their packaging.
The products included cereals containing gluten – wheat, barley, rye, oats – milk, egg, soya and fish. This made them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to these ingredients.
Lines affected by the recall included: Market Street assorted party cupcakes 12 pack, six pack and individual cupcakes. All best before dates up to and including January 16 2017 were included in the recall.
Morrisons called on consumers with an allergy or intolerance to the above ingredients not to consume the products and return them to their nearest store for a full refund.
